Ingredients
- 2 loaves of bread, cubed (or two bags of bread cubes – unseasoned)
- 2 lbs pork sausage
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 medium onion, minced
- 2 cups celery, chopped
- 1 package sliced fresh mushrooms
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 cup boiling water
- 4 chicken boullion cubes
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp poultry seasoning
- 1/2 tsp pepper
Brown the sausage and ground beef, then drain. Add celery, onions and mushrooms and cook about 10 minutes (or until the onion begins to be “transparent.”)
Melt the boullion cubes in the boiling water and stir.
Add the meat mixture to the bread cubes, stir. Add the boullion. Add the eggs.
Mix it all together, then stuff the turkey or put in a casserole dish.
(Stuffs a 20-24 lb turkey.)
